Prague 110 km

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic and is also know as the mother of all towns. It is the fifteenth-largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava River, the city is home to about 1.24 million people, while its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of nearly 2 million. The city has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters. The origin of the name Praha is rather associated with the word prah (that means a 'threshold'), which is a rapid on the river.

Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Wall and Petřín hill. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

The city boasts more than ten major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. A modern public transportation system connects the city. Prague is classified as an "Alpha-" global city according to GaWC studies, comparable to Vienna, Seoul and Washington, D.C. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination, and the city receives more than 5 million international visitors. Prague ranked fifth in the Tripadvisor world list of best destinations in 2014.

Dresden 60 km

Dresden is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near the Czech border. The Dresden conurbation is part of the Saxon Triangle metropolitan area with 2.4 million inhabitants. Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendor. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city center.

Dresden lies on both banks of the Elbe River, mostly in the Dresden Basin, with the further reaches of the eastern Ore Mountains to the south, the steep slope of the Lusatian granitic crust to the north, and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains to the east at an altitude of about 113 metres (371 feet). Triebenberg is the highest point in Dresden at 384 metres (1,260 feet).

Its very beautiful city with so many entertainment, museums, presentations and collections. The city have amazing architecture. Although Dresden is often said to be a Baroque city, its architecture is influenced by more than one style.

Bastei 25 km

The Bastei is a rock formation towering 194 metres above the Elbe River in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Germany. Reaching a height of 305 metres above sea level, the jagged rocks of the Bastei were formed by water erosion over one million years ago. They are situated near Rathen, not far from Pirna southeast of the city of Dresden and are the major landmark of the Czech Switzerland National Park. They are also part of a climbing and hiking areas. The Bastei has been a tourist attraction for over 200 years. In 1824, a wooden bridge was constructed to link several rocks for the visitors. This bridge was replaced in 1851 by the present Bastei Bridge made of sandstone. The rock formations and vistas have inspired several well-known artists, among them Caspar David Friedrich ("Felsenschlucht")

Schrammsteine & Falkenstein 17 km

The relatively large castle of Falkenštejn, established in the late 1200s by the Lords of Michalovice, used to stand on the buttress NE of Jetřichovice. In the early 15th century, the castle and the entire Česká Kamenice estate was bought by Hynek Berka of Dubá. The castle was abandoned in the late 15th century. In 1852 Countess Wilhelmina Kinský had the access road to the castle repaired and the area dedicated to tourism. Access to the castle is difficult nowadays.

The Schrammsteine are a long, strung-out, very jagged group of rocks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains located east of Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland in East Germany. To the north they are bordered by the Kirnitzsch valley, to the south by the Elbe valley and to the east by the Affensteine rocks. The high point of the chain lies at over 400 m above sea level. The viewing point on the Schrammsteine lies at a height of 417.2 m

Pravčická brána 13 km

Pravčická Brána is the largest natural stone bridge on our continent and a natural monument of our country. It is considered the most beautiful natural form in Czech Switzerland and is the symbol of the entire area. Its dimensions are remarkable, although when looking at it close up it seems bigger. The span of the arch at the bottom is 26.5 m, the height of the opening is 16 m, width 7-8 m, minimum thickness 3 m, and the surface area of the bridge is 21 m above its base.

Inseparable from Pravčická Brána is the holiday chateau known as the Falcon's Nest. It was built in1881 on the site of a cabin made from oak bark, which served as a tavern. Originally the Falcon's Nest accommodated important guests of the Clary-Aldringen family. Today is the first floor galleries photos. The ground floor contains a preserved, period restaurant decorated with original paintings.

Děčínský Sněžník 11 km

Only few kilometers from Děčín in the mother of pure nature is located the mountain Sněžník (723 m height above sea level). There is 33 m high observe tower at the top of the mountain, which is one of the oldest observe towers (built in 1864) in Czech Republic.

Distance from parking place to the tower is 2 km and you will get over vertical distance of 130 m. We would definitely recommend you this trip, because the view from the tower is very beautiful.

Gorges in Hřensko 10 km

Hřensko is the entrance to National Park Czech Switzerland and it will enrapture you by its beauty of nature. It is situated at the confluence of the Kamenice and Labe rivers and was established during the 15th century as a trading settlement.

A large number of shops near the border cater to the many German and Czech tourists who come to shop, eat, and drink here. In addition, the town is a portal to many attractions nearby in the Czech Switzerland National Park, including a gorge through which the Kamenice River flows and the Pravčická brána, a natural stone bridge which was featured in the film "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe".
